Bio: Coach Simpson comes to Lincoln after a very successful high school career at Dowling Catholic. After high school he then went to Ellsworth Junior College where he played one season. After junior college Coach Simpson went to the University of Northern Iowa where he was a 3 year starter for Coach Farley and the Panthers where in 2015 he earned MVFC Honorable Mention. After his playing career was over Coach Simpson started coaching at Hudson High School where he helped the Pirates earn a state championship in 2018. Relocating to the Metro in 2019 he spent the last two seasons as the Co-Special Teams Coordinator for Des Moines East.

Head Football Coach Duane Matthess: "Coach Simpson brings something to the table that every football staff needs and that's college special teams experience. A lot of the time special teams are an after thought for high school programs. However, by bringing in Coach Simpson we are dedicated to being sound in all three phases of the game.
